    Lees Trophy Inspection 2026 ๐Ÿ†

485 (Harborne & Quinton) Squadron was honoured to welcome the Commandant of the RAF Air Cadets, Air Commodore Lewis, alongside RAFACโ€™s Senior Volunteer, Group Captain Wakefield, for an official visit to the Squadron as part of the Lees & Morris Trophy competition.

The visit provided an excellent opportunity to showcase the dedication, professionalism and enthusiasm of our cadets, staff and Civilian Committee, while highlighting the wide range of opportunities available through the Royal Air Force Air Cadets.

Throughout the evening, Air Commodore Lewis and Group Captain Wakefield met with cadets and volunteers from across the Squadron, learning more about our history, our values and the positive impact the organisation has on the development of young people. The visit also provided an opportunity to recognise the continued support of our Civilian Committee and Squadron Padre, whose commitment plays a vital role in the continued success of 485 Squadron.

During final parade, Air Commodore Lewis was invited to present promotions to several cadets in recognition of their hard work, commitment and successful promotion interviews, congratulations all!

Congratulations to everyone on their well-deserved promotions. We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to Air Commodore Lewis and Group Captain Wakefield for taking the time to visit 485 (Harborne & Quinton) Squadron. It was a privilege to welcome you both, and we greatly appreciated the opportunity to share the spirit, dedication and community that make our Squadron so special.
